Pumpkin Apple Bread w/ Streusel Topping!

Hello Friends!

So, I'm sitting here with writer's block and asking my Hubby for his assistance.

His advice: Write about Fall, Halloween. Write, "Fall is here. Pumpkin is near. Make some Pumpkin Bread."

Hahahaha!

Let's just get straight to the recipe, shall we?

**Makes 2 loaves!**

What You'll Need:
3 cups flour
2 tspn baking soda
1 tspn ground nutmeg
1 tspn ground cloves
1/2 tspn cinnamon
1/4 tspn all spice
3/4 tspn salt
16 oz. can pumpkin (I used Libby's 15 oz. Pure Pumpkin)
3/4 cup vegetable oil
4 eggs (slighty beaten)
2 1/4 cup sugar
2 Granny Smith apples (peeled, cored and chopped)
1 tblspn butter

Streusel Topping:
1 tblspn flour
5 tblspns sugar
1 tspn cinnamon
1 tblspn butter

Directions:
In a large bowl, mix flour, baking soda, spices, salt. In a separate bowl, whisk canned pumpkin, oil, eggs, sugar. Pour pumpkin mixture into flour mixture, stir well until combined. Stir in apples.

Grease two 9"x5" loaf pans with butter. Divide batter between the two pans. Sprinkle each with topping. Bake at 350 degrees for 50-55 minutes - or until the toothpick comes out clean. Cool on a rack for 30 minutes before serving.

For those who do not have 2 loaf pans (like me!), I used the other half of the batter to make muffins!

  1. I might make these. (muffin form) I've tried pumpkin bread before and liked it but this recipe seems so much better! And the topping...yum!
